Lake Conroe is the water Jordan Marine Construction was built around. From our shop in Montgomery we build and repair docks, boat houses, boat lifts, bulkheads, and seawalls across every part of the lake — Bentwater, April Sound, Walden, Del Lago, the north arm, and the developed canals.
Building well on Lake Conroe means designing for the SJRA’s 201-foot pool and the lake’s real water-level swings. We set dock and bulkhead elevations so they still work when the lake is up after a release or drawn down in a dry summer — and we carry the SJRA shoreline permit through approval.

Piling Repair & Replacement in Lake Conroe →Building Conditions in Lake Conroe
Lake Conroe is a 21,000-acre freshwater reservoir. Pool levels rise and fall seasonally and the SJRA performs flood releases after heavy rain, so dock height, gangway design, and bulkhead elevation all have to account for fluctuating water. Freshwater treatment (0.60 CCA) is standard here.
Permitting
The San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) owns and manages Lake Conroe and requires a shoreline permit for docks, boat houses, bulkheads, dredging, and any encroachment at or below the 201-foot normal pool elevation. We prepare and submit every SJRA application.
Lake Conroe Marine Construction FAQs
Who controls permitting on Lake Conroe?
The San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) manages Lake Conroe and issues shoreline permits for docks, bulkheads, boat houses, and dredging. Jordan Marine Construction handles the SJRA permit application for every project we build on the lake.
How does Lake Conroe’s water level affect my dock or bulkhead?
Lake Conroe runs at a 201-foot normal pool but rises during flood releases and drops in dry periods. We design dock decks, gangways, and bulkhead caps around that range so your structure stays usable and protected through the lake’s seasonal swings.
