Why the Installed Price Is More Than the Lift
The lift hardware is only part of the number. A lift puts several tons on a few framing members and pilings that may have been sized only for people walking on the dock. If the structure needs sistered framing, added or upgraded pilings, or new beams to carry the lift, that work is part of the real cost.
Electrical is the other piece. On our estimates, a licensed electrician runs power from the existing source at the bulkhead or dock, and it's included with the lift installation. If there's no power near the slip, a new run adds to the price.
We check the structure and the power before quoting, so reinforcement shows up on the estimate instead of as a surprise halfway through the install.
